Pandemic maintenance, thumbs-up
I stopped by Destination Harley Davidson on the off chance the service department might have time to flash the Wireless Headset Interface Module (WHIM) Id installed. During these odd times I didnt really hold out much hope. However, Candace did a little checking and much to my surprise said they were able to take the bike right in, great! My understanding is this is about a 15-minute job, possibly a little longer if the WHIM software requires an update. All went well and the WHIM was activated. The bike was wiped down and returned to me and the cost for the work performed was very reasonable. So why only 4-stars? Well here is what I dont understand. Why did the bike need a 20-minute test ride? If engine, tuning, or driveline work had been done or suspension maintenance performed a test ride would be required, but for a radio upgrade on a bike with 140 miles on it, really? When I inquired Candace said it was company policy. The ride seemed like a waste of their time and mine. (Employee: Candace Case)
